SAP Commissions (Callidus) migration to SAP SuccessFactors Incentive Management on HANA

(formerly Callidus)
SAP is introducing a transition of SAP Commissions customers to SuccessFactors Incentive Management on HANA. As a result, organizations are now reviewing their migration approach, cost structure, timeline, and the long‑term flexibility of their incentive compensation stack.

Why SAP Commissions customers must act now.

SAP is transitioning SAP Commissions (formerly Callidus) customers to SuccessFactors Incentive Management on HANA, which marks a fundamental change in the underlying technology stack, including databases, integrations and reporting tools. For active SAP Commissions customers, this transition introduces a clear need to reassess how their current incentive compensation environment will operate going forward.
As part of this transition, organizations face a substantial challenge: moving from existing architectures based on Oracle, Informatica or Crystal Reports to a new HANA‑based setup. This change affects not only the technical layer, but also data models, workflows, reporting, and operational ownership across Sales Operations, Finance and IT teams.
At the same time, the transition creates a decision point. Companies must determine how they want to approach migration, considering factors such as cost structure, migration scope, timelines, and the long‑term flexibility of their incentive compensation stack. Addressing these questions early helps reduce execution risk and avoid costly redesigns later in the process.

Areas still open to business decisions.
